Perchlorate is a salt formed by perchloric acid,containing tetrahedral type perchlorate ion-ClO4-, where the oxidation state of chlorine is +7. Perchlorate is present in nature and is used primarily as an antioxidant in rocket fuel and pyrotechnics and as an explosive in airbags. Most perchlorates are soluble in water.

Safe operation
